Fat can be calculated either from a percentage of total calories or from a specific gram target.
If fat represents 30% of a 2,000-calorie diet:
2,000 × 0.30 = 600 calories
Because fat provides about 9 calories per gram:
600 ÷ 9 ≈ 67 grams
